Characteristic:
PBT is opal translucent to opaque, crystalline thermoplastic polyester. It has high heat resistance, toughness, fatigue resistance, self lubrication, low friction coefficient, low weather resistance and water absorption, only 0.1%. It still maintains various physical properties (including electrical properties) in wet environment, electrical insulation, but dielectric loss is large. It is resistant to hot water, alkali, acid and oil, but easy to be eroded by halogenated hydrocarbon, and has poor hydrolysis resistance. It can crystallize rapidly at low temperature and has good formability. PBT has a fast crystallization speed, and the most suitable processing method is injection molding. Other methods include extrusion, blow molding, coating and various secondary processing molding. It needs to be pre dried before molding, and the moisture content should be reduced to 0.02%. PBT (reinforced and modified PBT) is mainly used in automobile, electronics, industrial machinery, polymer alloy and blending industry. For example, it is used as the distributor, car body part, igniter coil frame, insulation cover, exhaust system part, motorcycle igniter, deflection coil of television in the electronic and electrical industry, picture tube and potentiometer bracket, sound output transformer frame, adapter frame, switch connector, electric fan, refrigerator, washing machine motor end cover and shaft sleeve.
