A touch switch, also known as a key switch, is a sensitive type of switch that requires operating force to be met during use. Then, pressure is applied in the direction of the switch's operation, and the switch function is closed or turned on. When the pressure is released, the switch will immediately disconnect. The internal structure of this tactile switch relies on the force changes of the metal spring to achieve connection and disconnection. So its specifications and models are also inseparable from its working mode.  

The specifications of tactile switches can be roughly divided into environmentally friendly and high-temperature resistant, surface mount, plug-in, and side plug types. They have different specifications, which leads to differences in other aspects. For example, there are three types of functions for patch type tactile switches: environmentally friendly, high-temperature resistant, and waterproof. They have two main specifications: 0.8mm and 1.5mm in height.  

The specifications of this type of tactile switch can be roughly divided into several types: 2 × 3, 2 × 4, 3 × 3, 3 × 4, 3 × 6, and 4 × 4. The size and height of these different specifications of tactile switches are also different. For example, the size and height of 2 × 3 and 2 × 4 are 3.5mm, the size and height of 3 × 3 are two types, 0.8mm and 3.5mm, the size and height of 3 × 4 are three types, 1.8mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm, respectively, and the size and height of 3 × 6 are also three types, approximately 0.8mm, 3.5mm, and 3.8mm  

The different specifications of tactile switches result in different sizes and heights of tactile switches, and their functions are also different. According to the functions of tactile switches of different sizes and heights, they can be divided into many types, such as environmentally friendly, high-temperature resistant, waterproof patch type tactile switches, environmentally friendly, double spring plate type, two foot patch type, as well as two foot and four foot side press, and four foot patch tactile buttons belonging to the side press series tactile switches.
