Material properties
This kind of material has excellent heat resistance and molding performance. The main polymerization method is melt polycondensation, and the whole aromatic LCP is supplemented by solid polycondensation to produce high molecular weight products. One step or two-step melt polymerization is often used to produce LCP plastics. In recent years, the technology of continuous melt polycondensation to produce high molecular weight LCP has been developed. Liquid crystal aromatic polyester in liquid crystal state because its macromolecular chain is oriented, it has abnormal regular fiber structure, special performance, high product strength, no less than metal and ceramics. The tensile strength and bending modulus of various thermoplastic engineering plastics developed in the past 10 years. Mechanical properties, dimensional stability, optical properties, electrical properties, chemical resistance, flame retardant, good processability, good heat resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient. With different monomers, the properties, processability and price of the liquid crystal polyester are different. Different fillers and different amount of fillers also affect its performance.
A: Liquid crystal can be divided into lyotropic liquid crystal polymer and thermotropic liquid crystal polymer. The former is liquid crystal in solvent, while the latter is liquid crystal due to temperature change. B: The main chain of liquid crystal polymer molecules is rigid, and the molecules are closely stacked, and highly oriented in the molding process, so it has small linear expansion coefficient, low molding shrinkage, very prominent strength and modulus of elasticity, and excellent heat resistance, high load deformation temperature, some of which can be as high as 340 ℃. C: LCP has good weather resistance, radiation resistance, excellent flame retardancy, and can extinguish the flame without further combustion. Its combustion level reaches UL94V-0. LCP plastic material is one of the special plastics with the best fire safety. D: The general thermotropic liquid crystal polymer has good fluidity and is easy to be processed. The molding product has the unique skin core structure of liquid crystal polymer, the resin itself has fiber properties, and has a high orientation in the melting state, so it can play the role of fiber reinforcement. E: Thermotropic liquid crystal polymer can also be made into polymer blends with a variety of plastics, in which the liquid crystal polymer plays the role of glass fiber reinforcement, which can greatly improve the strength, rigidity and heat resistance of the materials. Because of its structural characteristics, it has self reinforcement, so the unreinforced liquid crystal plastic can reach or even exceed the level of mechanical strength and modulus of ordinary engineering plastics after reinforced with dozens of percent of glass fiber; if reinforced with glass fiber, carbon fiber, etc., it is far more than other engineering plastics. G: LCP liquid crystal polymer also has excellent thermal stability, heat resistance and chemical resistance. For the creep defects of most plastics, the liquid crystal material can be ignored, and has excellent wear resistance and antifriction. H: LCP plastic material has excellent electrical insulation performance. Its dielectric strength is higher than that of general engineering plastics, and its arc resistance is good. As a part of electrical appliance application, its electrical performance is not affected when the continuous use temperature is 200 ~ 300 ℃.
